Wieland Alge

Wieland was born in Lustenau/Vorarlberg. He lives in Innsbruck, Austria and Ireland, mainly in Innsbruck. Trained physicist and scientist, Wieland founded phion a leading European IT security vendor in 2000 and served as ist CEO until 2009. After Barracuda Networks acquired phion, Wieland went on to lead Barracuda’s EMEA business until 2018. As Barracuda’s company speaker he delivered hundreds of talks and keynotes about IT security and digitization in general. Since then Wieland has co-founded several companies and serves as executive and chairman. He still enjoys giving keynotes on conferences.
